Mercuro: Thermometer Logic Puzzles · Last updated: June 2026
Data We Store (On Your Device)
Mercuro stores your current puzzle state, solved puzzle history, solve times, streaks, settings, purchases, and unlock state locally in your device's Application Support directory.
Current in-progress puzzle grids are local-only. If you delete the app, local-only in-progress grids are removed.
Mercuro does not operate a server for your game progress.
Sign in with Apple and iCloud Sync
Sign in with Apple is optional. If you connect Apple ID, Mercuro stores your Apple user identifier locally and uses Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store to sync recoverable progress: solved puzzles, solve times, streaks, purchases, hints-used counters, and unlock state.
Mercuro does not receive your Apple ID password. Apple may provide your name or email during sign-in if you choose to share it; Mercuro stores that locally only to show account state in Settings.
You can disconnect Apple ID inside Mercuro Settings. You can remove iCloud app data from iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Mercuro → Delete Data.
Advertising
The free version of Mercuro can display ads served by Google AdMob. Before ad tracking is used, Mercuro presents Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline tracking, only contextual or non-personalized ads are shown where supported.
AdMob may collect device identifiers, coarse location, and ad interaction information for ad serving and fraud prevention. Your puzzle progress, solve history, and grid state are never sent to Mercuro servers for ad targeting.
You can remove all ads permanently with a one-time in-app purchase.
In-App Purchases
Mercuro offers optional one-time purchases, Remove Ads, and Mercuro Pro, which unlocks additional puzzles and all themes, processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. The purchase screen is managed with Superwall, which may process anonymous device and purchase-flow information to present and improve offers; it is not used to track you.
Apple Game Center
Mercuro integrates with Apple Game Center for leaderboards and achievements. Game Center can receive leaderboard scores and achievement progress such as solved puzzle counts, streaks, and completion milestones. Game Center is governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy and can be managed in iOS Settings.
Analytics
Mercuro uses Mixpanel to understand how the app is used so we can improve it. Analytics are collected anonymously: Mercuro does not create an account profile for you, does not ask Mixpanel to identify you, and does not send personal information. Collected events describe gameplay and feature usage, for example puzzles started and solved, screens viewed, and settings changed. This information is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
You can turn analytics off at any time in Mercuro Settings.
Crash and Performance Data
To find and fix problems, Mercuro collects anonymous diagnostic data such as crashes, app hangs, launch time, and memory usage, some of it provided by Apple's MetricKit framework. These diagnostics are not linked to your identity and are sent to our analytics provider in aggregate to improve stability and performance. They are not used to track you. Turning off analytics in Settings also turns off this diagnostic reporting.
Notifications
If you enable the Daily Reminder, Mercuro schedules a local notification on your device to remind you about the day's puzzles. Scheduling happens on your device and does not send notification content to a Mercuro server. You can turn reminders off in Settings.
Data Deletion
Deleting Mercuro removes local in-progress puzzle state and local settings from your device. Data synced through iCloud can be removed from iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Mercuro → Delete Data.
Children's Privacy
Mercuro is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App Tracking Transparency framework ensures compliant ad targeting for all users.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
