## Privacy

- No account, email or login.
- Data is stored on the iPhone. Optional sync copies it to the user's own private iCloud.
- Iris has no servers of its own.

## Features

- **Period predictions** from the user's own cycle history. Iris estimates ovulation and counts the next period forward from it, so a late ovulation moves the forecast instead of flagging the period as late.
- **Ovulation**: log LH test strips and basal body temperature. A positive LH test marks ovulation on the calendar and resets the countdown to the next period. Temperatures are charted against a coverline.
- **Irregular cycles and PCOS**: when cycles vary a lot, Iris shows a likely window based on past cycles, and says plainly when a period runs past it.
- **Widgets**: Home Screen widgets (small and medium) and Lock Screen widgets show cycle day, phase and days until the next period, and advance at midnight on their own.
- **Partner sharing**: share a code; the partner sees phase, cycle day, predictions and a daily tip in Iris, plus a heads-up the day before a period. View only, end-to-end encrypted, mood and symptoms private unless shared, can be stopped at any time.
- **Apple Health**: two-way sync of period flow, basal body temperature, ovulation tests, cervical mucus, weight and sleep.
- **Reminders**: period, fertile window, PMS week, pill and medication reminders, each switchable.
- **Daily log**: flow, symptoms, mood, discharge, sleep, weight and notes; unused items can be hidden.
- **Goal modes**: just tracking, trying to conceive, or avoiding pregnancy. Colours and wording adapt.
- **Life stages**: pregnancy and postpartum modes; hormonal contraception mode stops ovulation estimates.
- **Doctor report**: PDF export of cycles and symptoms.
- **Hormones explained**: how estrogen, progesterone, LH and FSH change across the cycle.

## Not a contraceptive

Iris predictions are estimates. The avoiding pregnancy mode highlights days with a higher chance of pregnancy but never marks a day as safe.
